The London gallery, Bankrobber, unveiled a collection of singer Pete Doherty's artwork today for public viewing. The Babyshambles front man painted self portraits and crucifixes, unusually (then again, not for him), in his own blood.
Robin Barton, spokesman of the gallery said, "His use of blood lends itself perfectly to exploring the extraordinary personal and physical intensity that characterizes so much of Peter's life and work as an artist in the broadest sense."
Barton and the gallery have yet to reveal the prices of these bloody, original pieces but prints are available for £250 with an autograph in pencil and £1,200 if you want the autograph in blood. As of now, the "Bloodworks" exhibition will be open for four weeks only.
