Pete Doherty Working on New Babyshambles Record
Mon, 28 Jan 2013 15:17:17
Pete Doherty, who is usually in the press because he is always battling drug problems, is coming out of his drug cloud and/or haze to start work on a new Babyshambles album with producer Stephen Street, who produced the band's last full-length effort, 2007's Shotter's Nation.
At this point, Doherty is best known for his personal and health issues, and for dating Kate Moss years ago, than for his music, which had showed such promise, as part of The Libertines and Babyshambles. But he appears to be mounting a musical comeback.
Bassist Drew McConnell told the NME that the sessions were originally meant for Doherty's second solo album. However, Doherty and his record label, Parlophone, are saying that the album will be released as the third by Babyshambles.
Whatever the case, Doherty always looks like he just came off a bender and like his liver hurts.
