Phil Collins, who is gearing up to release Going Back, a collection of vintage and soul covers, has closed the coffin lid on Genesis. The singer told Billboard that "I think Genesis are no longer. I don't foresee me doing any more Genesis shows." Collins explained it isn't because he doesn't want to, but rather "it doesn't fit in with [his] life," which he wants to spend with his family and writing a book about the Alamo.

Going Back is set for a September 28 release. And yes, Collins did say he wants to write a book about the Alamo. Is writing a book about the Alamo more enticing that playing in Genesis? For Phil Collins it is.

Do you think Genesis should try and find a way to get Collins to rejoin them and embark on a tour?
