Phil Spector Appeal Denied by Supreme Court

Phil Spector has been denied by the Supreme Court. The judges refused to review the producer's murder conviction and he will remain in jail as a result.
Spector was sentenced to 19-years-to-life in 2009 for the second-degree murder of Lana Clarkson. He was appealing against his conviction, arguing his trial was unfair. His team claimed that the trial judge had intervened unfairly in a witness' testimony, violating Spector's constitutional rights.
But earlier this week, officials at the Supreme Court refused to review the case, as is their right, so the guilty verdict remains in place.
