Recently convicted music producer Phil Spector is the subject of a new documentary called The Agony and Ecstasy of Phil Spector and it charts the course of the producer's career, his signature "Wall of Sound" style (which created dense layers of sound that translated on AM radios and jukeboxes, which were popular at the time), his work with the Beatles (he produced Let It Be), his own music and the infamous murder charge he was convicted of after intense media coverage of the case. He was eventually sentenced to 19 years to life in prison after an actress was shot to death in his California home. Viewers will be "treated," for lack of a better word, to the knob twiddler's explanation of the strange hairdo he sported at his pre-trial hearing, which caused a lot of media buzz.
Will you view the film or will you boycott it based on the fact that Spector was convicted of murder?
