Philadelphia-based band Pulling Punches are back at it and have delivered a brand new EP titled Lighten Up, Burn It Down.
The EP features four songs in the dynamic style of post-hardcore that the band affectionately describes as "too loud for the punk kids and too melodic for the hardcore kids." The EP is only four songs in length, but it's as high impact as it is high energy. Fans of Kid Dynamite, Strike Anywhere and Grade, take note.
PunkNews is exclusively hosting a stream of the EP for the next week, so visit punknews.org and get your fix.
The band is eager for fans, both old and new, to hear the new songs and Pulling Punches were itching to make them available so they decided to do just that.
"We wrote these songs while waiting for the album to be released," singer Michael Kennedy said. "We're already well into writing another full length, but we didn't want to wait to release these tracks."
The band's label Universal Warning Records is currently hashing out an official release date for the EP, but in the interim, the band has elected to make the EP available as a digital download for just $1 on its bandcamp site for a limited time only.
