Former Oasis guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher returned to the music world Wednesday with the announcement he had written two solo albums, the first of which will be released in October. Two years after feuding with his brother Liam, who was Oasis frontman, led to the band splitting up, he announced an eponymous album by his band 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' would be released on October 17.

Thursday night marked the second show of Oasis's North American Tour in support of their new album, Dig Out Your Soul. The album, their 7th studio recording, brought the British rockers back to the U.S. for the first time since 2006.

There are three things you can expect from any Oasis show: The band will deliver crowd favorites like "Champagne Supernova" and "Wonderwall," there will be a compulsory sing-along to "Sally Can Wait," and, of course, there'll be some good old fashioned antics usually reserved for a pub after several pints of Guinness.

Barely 20 minutes into the show, Liam, their irascible front man, exchanged some heated words with a fan at the front of the stage. While being escorted out of the show by security guards, the concertgoer yelled something to Liam over his shoulder, which drew a universally known hand gesture from the surly frontman. For the rest of the show, Liam stood center stage, posturing as if to say, “Who's next?”

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals opened the show for Oasis, with a decidedly different vibe. The restrained singer seemed a strange opener for the raucous Gallagher brothers. He paired his incomprehensible ramblings between songs—at one point confessing his love for 'our orange juice'—with a softer, laid-back sound. His mellow demeanor, however, was no indicator to the show he put on. Ryan is one of those guys you just have to see live to understand, and after sitting with my jaw dropped for most of his set, I must admit, he stole the night. Good work Ryan, and I'm glad you liked the Orange Juice.
