The members of Pink Floyd signed a one-of-a-kind guitar painted by Ian Emes that sold for a whopping $26,000 on Thursday at 3 PM EST. But don't roll your eyes at the price it sold for; as it was sold via a charitybuzz online auction benefiting Crisis UK. So it was for a good cause.

The auction began on Thursday, June 30th with an opening bid of $2,500. After 17 bids, the auction surpassed its estimated value of $25,000 on closing day. Hey, it's all for a great cause.

Ian Emes, the visual mastermind behind The Dark Side of the Moon, painted the guitar with iconic artwork from the "Time" sequence. Roger Waters, Nick Mason, David Gilmour and Ian Emes all signed the guitar. Pink Floyd are one of rock music's most critically acclaimed and commercially successful acts. The group has sold over 200 million albums worldwide, including 74.5 million certified units in the United States.

100 percent of net proceeds from the auction will benefit Crisis, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness, which provides important services in education, employment, housing and health. With 90,000 people in the UK at risk of becoming homeless due to the housing benefit and shared room rate changes, Crisis will be needed across the UK to provide support and get people through the tough times ahead.

What rock guitar would you like to own or bid on via a charity auction? What's your dream model?
