Pitbull x Miami x NYE! Get ready!
Mr. Worldwide –that'd be Pitbull-- is creating a televised New Year's Eve show in Miami, Florida that will compete with the traditional New York City NYE broadcasts and usual suspects, like Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
That's ambitious on Pit's part, since the Clark special, now hosted by Ryan Seacrest, rules the roost on both coasts and has done so FOREVER. But there are other games in town, like specials on Fox and MTV.
Pit has partnered with production company Endemol North America to create and produce original TV content and this New Year's Eve event is their first announced collaboration.
The televised broadcast, slated to air on the Fox network, will be called Pitbull's New Year's Revolution and producers hope the event will become an annual tradition, one that steals viewers and competes with the Dick Clark special, as we said.
Pit will be joined onstage by musicians and DJs for his new live broadcast.
"The world needs to get ready to un-mute New Year's Eve, because we are taking the party from the Big Apple to the Pineapple," Pit said. "New Year's Eve is officially in Miami and hosted by yours truly, Mr. Worldwide. P.S. Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but whatever happens in Miami never happened."
Bring it, Pit! He does so many collabos and features that he will probably be calling in favors from his fellow hitmakers, asking them to participate in his special.
