Posthumous Amy Winehouse Album Due Out December

A posthumous Amy Winehouse album of material that was never previously is due out in December. Note: it's not just stuff she was working on when she died. It's from the span of her career. The album is called Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures.
Her dad Mitch Winehouse weighed in recently n his daughter-as-artist, and has revealed he was impressed by the songs his daughter recorded before her death in July and he also is glad they will be shares with fans. Papa Winehouse told The Sun, "I spent so much time chasing after Amy – telling her off – that I never realized what a true genius she was. It wasn't until I sat down with the rest of the family and listened to this album that I fully appreciated the breadth of her talent. From jazz standards to hip-hop songs, it took my breath away."
The record will land on Dec. 5.
The posthumous release will include songs written at the height of the star's drug problems, as well as re-dos of hits and of songs she loved.
Some of the proceeds will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the charity set up by her family to help other youngsters struggling with addiction issues.
