CartPREMIERE: New Cassettes "Bite Your Lip" Video

ARTISTdirect.com has partnered with U.K. band New Cassettes to premiere the video for their second single "Bite Your Lip," which will hit radio in a few weeks. Check it out now since it's awesome. The band will tour with White Arrows beginning October 2.
The video largely consists of performance footage, but you get a real sense of what it's like to take in the New Cassettes in the live realm. It's so much more interesting than a vid with narrative! Those are so played out.
Tom Stubbs, lead singer of New Cassettes, told ARTISTdirect.com about the video shoot for the punchy, power pop song, which is hookier than a tackle box.
"We shot the video for the single in an abandoned power station in Austin, in about two hours after a week of madness at SxSW, before jumping in our van and hitting the road with We Were Promised Jetpacks. We worked with a great director, Joe Arcidiacono, that MTV brought in, who really captured some of the live energy we hoped would represent the band more than just a storyline video….that and we can't act for toffee. If we look like it's 10AM after no sleep and one too many Colas, that's because it was."
We think they look just fine!
Stubbs continued, "I think the song itself is a bit of a glass half-full song. I have holes in my shoes and no money in my pocket, but moaning about it isn't going to change that, so just get cracking and see what happens."
