Music-maker/DJ/Producer Marc Mysterio is no stranger to collaborations, but even this opportunity caught him by surprise: an inquiry to work with one of the 'wonders' of modern media, Courtney Stodden.
Yes, Stodden, the 18-year-old 'television personality' who married a 51-year old when she was just 16 years old, has designs on becoming the next pop superstar, à la Ke$ha or Britney Spears.
Mysterio relayed to Gossip Extra that he told Stodden: "Your last song sucks, and the video sucks, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to put it."
Mysterio also told G.E: "She doesn’t even seem to want to learn an instrument or her scales. I can’t be associated with this."
Stodden, apparently drunk during the conversation (something Stodden's Mom/manager denied), seemed unfazed and said she wasn't "offended one bit by what you’re telling me" and seems determined to be taken seriously, "I want to be a blond pop icon."
Mysterio's latest track "Booty On The Floor," a benefit for One Fund Boston featuring a Flo Rida sample (featured on ARTISTdirect recently), can be purchased on Beatport. Mysterio also recently signed with the reinvigorated BMG.
With your own eyes and ears, you can check out Stodden's initial attempt at establishing her presence in the music biz with the video for "Reality:"
