Public Enemy will have their own action figures. As of this fall members Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Professor Griff, and Terminator X will be immortalized in plastic, and the four artist box set will be released this September or October. Pitchfork reports, "The figures have been designed by Ed Piskor, author of Hip Hop Family Tree, an illustrated look at rap's origins. They're being released via PopPress Inc. and Aggronautix."
Chuck D is currently teamed of with supergroup Prophets of Rage, who get their name from a Public Enemy song. Earlier this week, the band made their debut television on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Watch the video below.
Last week, Prophets of Rage made headlines riling up crowds in Cleveland, Ohio, where the Republican National Convention was taking place. The band's tour will begin August 19th in Fairfax, Virginia, about 20 miles outside Washington D.C. The band will then head across North America, making stops in Camden, New Jersey; Brooklyn, New York; Quebec City, Quebec; Los Angeles, CA, more, before bringing their tour to a close on October 16th in Chula Vista, California.
