Queen Readies Vinyl Reissues
Queen has decided to join the vinyl reissue craze, with deluxe editions of their entire back catalogue, from their self-titled 1973 debut to 2008's The Cosmos Rocks—the band's first post-Freddie Mercury LP with their new vocalist, Paul Rodgers. Hollywood Records plans on releasing the records in "waves" every six months, with "The First Wave" covering A Night At the Opera, A Day At the Races, Sheer Heart Attack, Queen and The Cosmos Rocks and "The Second Wave" including Flash Gordon, News of the World, A Kind of Magic, Innuendo and the gold foil-stamped version of Queen.In other Queen news, the concert film Queen + Paul Rodgers: Let the Cosmos Rock will screen in 425 U.S. theaters on November 6.
