CartR.E.M. Finish Recording New Album

Rock royalty R.E.M. have announced that the band wrapped up the recording of their next album in Berlin, Germany with producer Jacknife Lee. The band will take a bit of a break and then return to the new material in the fall in effort to mix and finish off the album. They are eyeing a Spring 2011 release date. The deluxe re-issue of R.E.M.'s third album, Fables of the Reconstruction, hit shelves yesterday, capping off a flurry of R.E.M.-related activity. In the past few days.
