Radiohead Almost Done with Eighth Album

Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien told BBC 6 Music that the band has entered the home stretch and is almost done working on its eighth album and that he hopes the album, which they commenced work on in May of last year, will come out sometime this year. The guitarist said, "We're at the studio at the moment. We're in the heart of the record." O'Brien, like most artists talking about and promoting their newest album, said that this is the best record that the band has ever made. That's a bold statement, consider that Radiohead have crafted a lot of really fucking good, timeless and genre-changing albums, He also said it is different from 2007's In Rainbows, which the iconoclastic UK band sold on a sliding scale, telling fans to pay whatever they wanted for it .
Are you excited for new Radiohead or did the band lose you after Kid A and all the experimental, anti-pop follow ups that came after it?
