Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood is once again working with film director Paul Thomas Anderson. The twosome have paired up for a new film that is reported to be a period drama about a highly sought-after dressmaker in 1950s London. Judging by photos released from the set, Daniel Day-Lewis, who has worked with Anderson before, will be making an appearance in the film as well. There has been no title for the movie announced at this time.
P.T. and Greenwood have had quite the working relationship over the last decade, with Radiohead musician scoring his three most recent films, There Will Be Blood, The Master, and Inherent Vice. Even more recently, Anderson directed three music videos for songs from Radiohead's most recent album, A Moon Shaped Pool.
The news came at an ideal time, as just a couple nights ago Greenwood performed his score for There Will Be Blood live during a screening of the film at London's Southbank Centre.
Radiohead is currently getting ready to head back out on tour in March, starting with a gig on March 30th in Miami, Florida. From there they will head out across the United States and headline this year's Coachella music festival. They are also headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival.
We just hope that the things turn out as well as they did for There Will Be Blood, and expect that once again Daniel Day-Lewis will be drinking everyone's milkshakes when the Oscars roll around.
