Radiohead's Thom Yorke And Jonny Greenwood Announce Italian Earthquake Benefit Show
Tue, 20 Jun 2017 11:38:40
Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead have announced an Italian earthquake benefit show. The duo will perform in Italy to help restoration efforts in Le Marche, an Italian region devastated by recent earthquakes. The concert will take place at the open-air stadium Macerata Sferisterio on August 20th.
Last August, a 6.2-magnitude quake hit Italy. Since then, successive aftershocks have continued to affect the Le Marche region, making recovery efforts difficult.
Radiohead is currently set to headline Glastonbury Festival this weekend, marking the 20th anniversary of their famed OK Computer set. From there, the band will head out across Europe playing a number of shows, until July 19th when they are set to play their controversial Israel concert.
Radiohead currently has no shows set after the Le Merche benefit show. The band is currently touring support of their 2016 release, A Moon Shaped Pool. Check out the complete list of the band's upcoming shows below.
