In a particularly astounding example of the scientific method, rapper B.o.B. has started a GoFundMe effort dedicated to finding evidence that will either prove or disprove his theory that the Earth is flat. The GoFundMe has a $1 million goal, and has raised a total of slightly over $3,000 since its inception six days ago.

The project's description is fairly simple: "What's up guys! Help support B.o.B purchase and launch multiple weather balloons and satellites into space, for experimental exploration. He's donated 1k to the cause to get it going, and will be keeping you updated with step-by-step documentation of the process! Help B.o.B find the curve!"

In a video thanking donors for their contributions thus far, B.o.B. states that he upped the goal from its original $200,000 level after reading many comments and suggestions. He will now be open to using balloons, satellites, drones, blimps, and "every available experiment and test...and whatever else."

B.o.B. first made his views on the flat earth theory public in 2016, setting off a Twitter feud with celebrity astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, which ended in dueling diss tracks between the two. B.o.B. joins the likes of Kyrie Irving and Tila Tequila, who have both expressed similar doubts about whether the planet we live on is a sphere.

Of course, B.o.B.'s biggest track is the song "Airplanes", which contains the line, "...airplanes in the night sky are like shootin' stars." Much like Kyrie Irving, it's probably safe to assume he has, at some point in his life, traveled via airplane. Did he never look out the airplane window and wonder why he couldn't see the polar bears exploring the Arctic? Does B.o.B not believe in polar bears, either? Presumably, only a controlled experiment can clear up this conundrum.
