Rapper Young Jeezy is being sued by a former business partner, Demetrius Ellerbee, for a whopping sum of $5 million. The rapper responded to the suit, which was filed in Georgia last year and accused him of not paying Ellerbee royalties for songs he helped produce and promote for Corporate Thugs Entertainment (CTE).
Ellerbee claims that he is the co-owner of CTE and says he co-founded the label with Jeezy in 2001, which means he is entitled to its past and future earnings.
Jeezy, born Jay Jenkins, has filed his own papers, refuting those claims. He says he never formed any music companies with Ellerbee and that he never entered into any agreements to share half of his profits.
He said, he said!
Team Jeezy or Team Ellerbee?
