The members of country powerhouse trio Rascal Flatts are promoting their new album, Nothing Like This like a mother effer, but that hasn't stopped the trio from keeping up with their charitable and philanthropic endeavors. After numerous radio interviews and television performances, the band made a personal appearance at Manhattan's JCPenney store on Wednesday night to announce the JCPenney Online Angel Giving Tree Program, to host a toy drive and to present a check $100,000 to the Salvation Army on behalf of JCPenney.
The Flatts are generous, generous men! Props to ‘em.
Earlier on Wednesday, also know as "Hump Day" or the day from the commonly used "Back in the day" phrase, per comedian Dane Cook, Rascal Flatts adopted their own online angels and encourage everyone this holiday season to do the same at here. The Angel Giving Tree Program provides clothing, gifts and other wish list items to kids and seniors throughout the U.S.
Did I mention that the Flatts are generous, generous men who are stocking up on karma points?
Additionally, the first 100 fans who donated a new, unwrapped toy received an autographed copy of Nothing Like This. For every CD sold at JCPenney stores throughout the country, $1 will be donated to the Salvation Army through March 15, 2011.
The $100,000 donation from JCPenney to the Salvation Army will provide gifts for 1,000 children this holiday season.
Are you going to pick up Nothing Like This? You should, folks.
