Razorlight is spearheading a green-conscious rock movement in their UK home. The British retro-rockers just completed recording in a solar studio, and frontman Johnny Borrell recently spent the day with Friends of the Earth, the organization which claims to make "life better for people by inspiring solutions to environmental problems." On July 7, Borrell test-drove a Vectrix electric scooter, a first-of-its-kind vehicle that produces no emissions. Additionally, Borrell has also recorded an exclusive new song for FOE titled "Funeral Blues." You can download it for free on their official website, foe.co.uk.
Borrell said about his newfound awareness, "Working with Friends of the Earth on The Big Ask climate campaign has made me realize that climate change is a problem we can solve. The solutions to climate change exist—from solar power to electric bikes and locally sourced food— we just aren't making the most out of them. That's why I support The Big Ask, Friends of the Earth's campaign for a strong climate change law. A strong law will make sure the government does all it can to help these solutions flourish."
