Record Store Day Co-Founder to Close His Record Store - Criminal Records in Atlanta being shut down

In a twist of sad irony, Eric Levin, who co-founded Record Store Day, the national event that celebrates indie record stores, plans to shut down his Atlanta record store, Criminal Records, reports SPIN. It's criminal that Criminal Records is shutting down.

Levin acknowledged that business-related decisions, not the sagging record industry in general, have led to the decision to shutter the store. Um, okay.

However, Criminal Records isn't quite dead yet, as Levin has launched a campaign to save the store, so you can still do your part to support Criminal Records and Record Store Day. Hmmm.

    Stay tuned for more info.

Do you still shop at record stores? If so, which ones?
