If you're going to go, go big. That has to be Regina Spektor's philosophy for her forthcoming Radiohead cover. If you are going to issue a fundraising cover, it makes total sense to cover a hugely popular band with oodles of indie cred. Following the success of her March 23 Doctors Without Borders benefit concert in New York City, which was inspired by the recent earthquake disasters in Haiti and Chile, Sire/Warner Bros recording artist Spektor just released an exclusive, fund-raising iTunes single, which is her cover of Radiohead's "No Surprises." 100% of artist and label proceeds benefit the Doctors Without Borders' Emergency Relief Fund. Big ups to Spektor for her generosity and philanthropy.

Fans can find the song here: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=367375590. So pony up that dollar-plus and rock the fuck out! It's for a good cause.

Don't know what Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is? Well that's what I am for: to educate you. It's an international independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, natural disasters, or exclusion from health care in nearly 60 countries.

Meanwhile, Spektor is currently on tour in Australia in support of her latest album, Far.

What's your charity of choice? Did you like Spektor's take on Thom Yorke and co.?
