Rockers Rev Theory have been forced to cancel their fall tour due to a freak accident that left guitarist Julien Jorgensen with a severed tendon in his left hand! Ouch.
Jorgensen had surgery and is okay, but the band can't tour with Five Finger Death Punch, Hatebreed and All That Remains as a result! The tour was set to kick off on Oct. 16 in San Francisco. This accident couldn't have come at a more inopportune time for Rev Theory, huh?
Here's what happened and it'll teach people to watch out for flying bottles!
While at a post-wedding reception in Las Vegas, Jorgensen injured his hand while standing next to someone who was attempting to open a beer bottle without a bottle opener!!! A press release was issued, revealing that the bottle "slipped, shattered on the edge, and sliced the guitarist's left hand on the follow through."
OMG! A rogue bottle! Ugh! Poor Julien Jourgensen. He was in the wrong place at the very wrong time.
"I am super bummed that happened, and it is a freak accident," said Jorgensen. "It is a helpless feeling. I feel bad about dropping off the tour and disappointing the fans. As soon as I am able, we will be back on the road."
