Ribbon In the Sky Toy Drive Set for Sunday, December 7

It's the season of giving and of helping those in need! So we're excited to tell you about Ribbon In the Sky, a great, worthwhile and easy-to-support charity event happening in L.A. this Sunday. We've got all the details about its awesomeness so if you are in L.A., you might want to consider supporting it.
Now in its 13th year, the Ribbon In the Sky toy drive will once again bring holiday cheer to Los Angeles and beyond, from the Skybar Lounge at the Mondrian in West Hollywood Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 6:30PM.
This year, the drive teams up with Athletes Vs. Cancer, which was founded by NBA star Matt Barnes, who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. Ribbon In the Sky also expands to include a sneaker drive as well as the yearly toy drive—another first for the festivities.
Sneakers and toys? All things kids need, especially at Christmas!
Barnes will personally host the proceedings.
He founded Athletes Vs. Cancer in 2008 in order to urge for awareness and funds for cancer screenings. This organization emphasizes discovering cancer in its early stages in order to properly fight it, all the while working towards a cure. It's very close to Barnes' heart, and it's helping fuel this year's Ribbon In the Sky event.
This is the best way to give back if you're in L.A. Tickets and VIP table reservations for the event can be found at kickstandworld.com.
All you have to do is bring a toy or pair of sneakers to add to the giving of the holiday season! It's that easy!
Also, recording artist and former American Idol star Stefano Langone will open the event, and the evening's music will be curated by Hollywood's A-list celebrity DJ Michelle Pesce.
About the event, Ribbon In the Sky founder Geoff Walker comments, "I was so inspired by Matt's story and what he's doing with Athletes Vs. Cancer. It was an honor to join forces with him this year. I've been given this blessing so I try to give back to those who don't have the same opportunities every chance I get. This is one of the best ways for me to do so."
Once this Ribbon takes flight, L.A. will once again light up! All. Good. Things.
Good music x good cause x good times x good hearts!
Anyone in L.A. plan to support this event?
