"I need 100 black coffins," declares Rick Ross on "100 Black Coffins", his immaculately intense contribution to the soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained out December 18 via Loma Vista Recordings.

Rolling into towns with guns blazing, Ross sounds unfettered as his tough flow fires off impenetrable rhymes over Ennio Morricone-style whistling and ominous bells. He stomps in tandem with the beat wielding the kind of wordplay than only Nas and Jay-Z can also boast. The production itself stands out unlike anything in hip hop ever, yielding the first Wild West rap anthem. We may even need more than 100 coffins because Ross is burying all of his competitors with this one…

"My revenge is the sweetest," Ross adds towards the end of the track as he continues to rail a narrative plucked right from the flick. This is as cool as it gets, and it fits the film perfectly.

Get buried in one of the best rap songs of 2012.
