Rick Ross has gotta eat. Or at least he wants people to eat at his new restaurants. That's right. Maybach Music Group CEO and famed rapper Rick Ross has added Wingstop to his growing empire.
Rick Ross –who is affectionately called the Boss but is not to be confused with the other "Boss" Bruce Springsteen-- recently signed a development agreement to bring Wingstop to Memphis, Tennessee. He will open his first of several Wingstop restaurants this Fall at 7706 Winchester Road in Memphis.
On his last album, Teflon Don, the Boss raps about Wingstop, creatively positioning his new venture. "After tasting Wingstop's signature Lemon Pepper-flavored wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments," explained Rick Ross.
"Rick Ross will be a great addition to the Wingstop family," said Jim Flynn, Wingstop CEO. "He's a talented artist and brings a huge fan base to the concept. We look forward to growing the brand with him in Memphis."
With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and the chain's newest offering – Glider sandwiches – all sauced and tossed in nine original flavors including Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan. Homemade side dishes include fresh-cut fries with proprietary seasoning, Bourbon baked beans and potato salad.
Do you ever eat at Wingstop?
