Rihanna Admits Which Divas She Copied While Growing Up

In a recent chat with Grazia, Rihanna revealed which divas and which reggae icon she copied and was most influenced by while she was growing up on the islands. The answers are not surprising!
Not. In. The. Least.
"I loved Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Bob Marley. I would watch their videos all day long on TV because that's what they would play in the Caribbean," the "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer said. "I would start mimicking everything I heard, everything Mariah did, I would try to do."
Can you imagine Ri, singing in front of her mirror, with a hair brush in hand, mimicking Mimi singing "Vision of Love" or "Always Be My Baby?" So, so cute. Right?
While Rihanna isn't not a belter along the lines of Mimi and Celine, she certainly is a diva and has learned how to command an audience with her vibe and her voice, which is certainly what Carey and Dion do.
Oh, and before we forget, listen to the new RiRi jam, "#BBHMM," below.
All in all, this big reveal about her inspo means RiRi and Mimi need to engage in a duet, ASAP! We can't even imagine these two allowing their voices to intertwine. It sounds like something that has to happen on next year's Grammys telecast, right?
