Rihanna is set to star in an upcoming Peter Berg Documentary. The man behind Lone Survivor, Hancock, and Friday Night Lights will direct a new documentary about Rihanna styled after D.A. Pennebaker's 1967 Bob Dylan film, Don't Look Back, reports Deadline.
According to Rolling Stone, "Berg described the as-yet-untitled movie as an "unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon." Berg added that he was interested in exploring "a young artist at the top of her professional field" and said the movie would be "much more a character study than a music film.""
Rihanna released her eighth studio album, Anti, back in February. "Work" [ft. Drake], the first single off the record, has been topping the charts since its release eight weeks ago. After postponing the first few shows on the Anti World Tour, Rihanna finally started her concert series March 12th in Jacksonville, Florida. The first leg of her tour will take her throughout the United States and Canada, finishing May 18th in Atlanta, Georgia. The second leg will begin June 18th in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and take the Caribbean Queen throughout Europe, making stops in the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Sweden, and many others, before finally finishing up August 21st in Chelmsford, England.
Rihanna released her second and third singles from Anti simultaneously on March 30th, "Kiss It Better" and "Needed Me." "Kiss It Better" was accompanied by a music video directed by British fashion photographer Craig McDean.
