Rihanna has premiered her new music video for "Needed me." Directed by Harmony Korine, best known for films like Kids and Spring Breakers, the video features Rihanna in a variety of outfits, including a sheer white see-through number. Guns, boobs, and money take center stage in the video, and there is even a little bit of murder. The video was released at noon Eastern Time today. Rihanna made the announcement about the video today on Instagram. She also wished everyone a "Happy 420." Harmony has previously directed videos for Cat Power, Sonic Youth, and the Black Keys.
Rihanna released her newest album, Anti, back in January. The first single off the record, "Work," has remained on the top of the Billboard charts for the last nine weeks. She released the second and third singles from the album, "Kiss It Better" and "Needed Me," simultaneously on March 30th. The next day she released the video for "Kiss It Better," directed by British fashion photographer Craig McDean.
Rihanna began the Anti World Tour on March 12th in Jacksonville, Florida. The North American leg of the concert series will take the singer across the United States and Canada, and make stops in a variety of cities, including Vancouver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and many more. The North American leg wraps up May 18th in Atlanta, Georgia. Rihanna will then head to Europe for the second leg of the concert series, kicking off with a show on June 17th in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The European leg of the tour will take her to England, Norway, Romania, Belgium, and many other destinations before coming to a close on August 21st in Chelmsford, England.(NSFW)
