Rihanna debuted "Only Girl (In the World)," the lead single from her new album, Loud, which is due out on November 16, via Ryan Seacrest's radio show. The song, which displays a Euro pop flair, marks a new sonic direction for Rihanna, whose icy vocal dominate the thumping beat.

It's a much more upbeat and dance-oriented track than the darker, grittier and moodier stuff Ri Ri has been doing, namely her smash hit "Love the Way You Lie" with Eminem, and her last album, Rated R. Perhaps it is because she is in a better place in her personal life that her music has taken a turn for the more uplifting? I wonder if any songs will address Rihanna's newfound love with Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp.
Thumbs up or down for "Only Girl (In the World)"?
