Roadrunner Launches Roadrunner Comedy Label

Roadrunner, the world's best metal and hard rock label, is having a laugh. Literally. The venerable rock music titan has launched Roadrunner Comedy, a label dedicated to the comedy genre.
Cees Wessels, CEO of Roadrunner Records, said, "We are very excited to launch Roadrunner Comedy, yet another innovative iteration of the Roadrunner brand. We look forward to welcoming a variety of like-minded comedians to the Roadrunner family—new artists with dynamic talents—that will be making us laugh for years to come."
The company is launching with funnyman Doug Stanhope as the inaugural act. Stanhope's brutally honest style is shockingly uninhibited, ranging from biting social commentary to the crass and obscene. Just like I like it. Dirty + filthy = good. Keep an eye out for new material by Stanhope, slated for a 2011 Roadrunner Comedy debut. Stanhope is irreverent, so I think this is a viable match. Congrats to both parties.
Stanhope's tour dates are as follows:
12/4 @ Club Congress – Tucson, AZ
12/8 @ Rickshaw Stop – San Francisco, CA
2/17 @ Doug's Warehouse – Chattanooga, TN
2/18 @ Exit/In – Nashville, TN
2/19 @ Zydeco – Birmingham, AL
2/24 @ New Earth Music Hall – Athens, GA
2/26 @ The Pour House – Raleigh, NC
What do you think of Roadrunner's foray into comedy?
