First charting back in 2002 with Lady May and the track "Boom, Boom, Boom," the Kentucky rapper suddenly found a new trajectory into the mainstream, away from roots and his intended path. Catapulted into a world that dismantled his true voice of legacy and style—over fashion and fleeting issues—Jackson took a break from standing in from of the mic.
Having spent the last few years working as a producer, and bringing shine to other artists' work, Jackson is back with new lyrics and timeless concerns. He's bringing an old-school hip-hop sensibility of hard work and individualism to contemporary concerns, and he's hungrier and more polished than ever.
