British boy band superstar Robbie Williams of Take That fame is planning to buy White Rock Island, California, with designs on turning it into a base for spotting UFOs. No, we're not kidding!

According to The Examiner and NME.com, Wms. is planning to build a luxury private resort on the 1.3 acre island, which is currently owned by movie director Michael Caffery, so that he and wife Aydra can stay there and do fun stuff like look for UFOs.

Williams first visited White Rock Island last year and found it to be a perfect location for UFO watching, since there is minimal light pollution and a clear view of the night sky. So if you looking for UFOs is your bag, which clearly is in Williams' case, this island is a perfect locale for scouting unidentified flying objects.

Williams also claims to have spotted UFOs previously and he is willing to shell out nearly $700,000 for the island. It's his man island, as opposed to his man cave.

In other Williams news, he will release Take the Crown, his latest solo platter, in November.

So this could be a publicity stunt to generate chit-chat for the album. Or not.

    Do you believe in UFOs?
