Robin Thicke Hasn't Seen Paula Patton in Four Months!

Robin Thicke has released his new album Paula in an obvious bid to win his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton, back. Frankly, it's making us all a little uncomfortable, since it's like public therapy, but...
...in a chat with Hot 97, the blue-eyed soul singer spoke about their split.
Thicke looked and sounded tired, but he is promoting his album and has a cray schedule right now. He is also nursing a broken heart. It's clear he loves and misses his wife. He also pretty much said that he messed up and is taking responsibility for his actions. He didn't say what he did but he alluded to the fact that he made mistakes, but he did not stray or cheat.
"I haven't seen her for four months," Thicke, who was with Patton for nearly 20 years, confessed. "If you've been together that long, you kinda became adults together instead of being adults and then meeting. But maybe a year or two off, we'll become our own people without each other and then it will be meant to be."
"My music is my therapy," he continued. "When I make these songs and I listen back to them, they make me feel good about myself because at least I'm admitting my faults and trying to become a better man, better person, better father."
Thicke explained why he chose to let Patton inspire the entire album and furthered, "The album is exactly what happens when you lose the love of your life and you're trying to figure it out in your head. How am I going to move on and get through it all? We just weren't happy together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologize for, and things I wanted to take responsibility for, so that's pretty much what the album's about."
So, what does Paula think of Paula? Thicke admitted, "She's only heard a few songs. I don't think she wants to hear it right now. I can't speak for her, but I think space is an important part of any healing process."
He also put the brunt of this relationship pause on himself and revealed, "I knew exactly what I had. It's not that simple. After 20 years... it didn't work for 20 years because it wasn't right -- it was right. Sometimes people grow apart. You didn't build love in a day and you don't lose it in a day...[Cheating] is not why we're apart. We're apart because we just couldn't be together...for a while. There's 100 different reasons, there isn't just one. There's a long list...I changed, and I got a little too selfish, a little too greedy, and little too full of myself."
Wow. Just wow. So it sounds like maybe 2013, which was Thicke's most successful professional year ever, may have gone to his head a little? Let's hope these two kids can work it out.
The interview is about 20 minutes and it's below.
Will R. Thicke get her back? Will they unblur the lines? Sorry, we had to!
