A few weeks before The Who performed at last year's Super Bowl extravaganza, singer Roger Daltrey had a precancerous growth removed from his vocal cords, which may be why his voice didn't sound quite right during the performance. Daltrey told CBS Los Angeles last month that in 2009, it was becoming hard for him to sing, so he went to a doctor, who noticed the growth. While it wasn't cancer, it was precancerous and was removed a week before Christmas 2009. Daltrey performs preventative maintenance, checking in with the doctor after every tour.
What did you think of The Who's Super Bowl performance last year? Did you notice a difference in Daltrey's voice?
