You can't keep a good, chatty lesbian down. Rosie O'Donnell, the self-styled "Queen of Nice," is developing a new talk show for TV. Word is O'Donnell is planning to debut her new show in the Fall of 2011, which, coincidentally, is around the same time that Oprah Winfrey will be signing off of her namesake show for good. So we're trading one "O" for another: Oprah for O'Donnell.
O'Donnell nabbed an Emmy for her Rosie O'Donnell Show, which she hosted for six years before migrating over to The View, where she sparked a war of words with the likes of comb-over king Donald Trump and co-host, that ultra-conservative, "How the fuck did this broad get a job?" moppet, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Despite ruffling feathers and causing a raucous on the weekday gabfest, O'Donnell is TV gold and always brings in ratings. People really like her.
O'Donnell has been hosting a two-hour radio show on Sirius XM, dubbed "Rosie Radio." She also recently launched an HBO documentary, A Family is a Family is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, which highlights different family dynamics, since O'Donnell is an out and proud lesbian raising several children.
Will you watch Rosie on the –ahem- boob tube again?
