According to Pitchfork, the London record store Rough Trade, which also operates a label under the same name, will open a new store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this fall. Brooklyn is where it's at, yo! Hip shit happens in Bklyn.
Rough Trade has reportedly partnered with the Manhattan-based promoter Bowery Presents on this endeavor. The two powerhouse forces will unite to create in-store performance and nighttime gigs at Rough Trade. It will certainly be a place to go if you are a music fan, that's for sure.
The company will also soon launch an American digital shop where music geeks can make MP3s, vinyl, and CD purchases, via a subscription service option. Rough Trade currently has two London locations: West and East. Now it really has one in the 718.
