Rush drummer Neil Peart, regarded as one of the best kit minders in the business, has just plunked down $5 million for a 6200 square-foot home in the lovely, beachside city of Santa Monica, California.

The pad features five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms, and it is fairly new construction, as it was built in 2001.

Congrats to Peart on his new digs.

Where would you purchase a home if you had $5 million to drop on any city in the world?
