Last week, alleged cheater Jesse James issued a statement, regarding reports that he cheated on his lovely and talented wife, recent Oscar winner Sandra Bullock, with a heavily tattooed skank. In his statement, released to People, James said, "The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me."
Whoa! Let's dissect and bisect James' apology, with respect to Bullock, who has beamed and gushed about her husband in all of her awards' circuit speeches on her road to her Oscar win for The Blind Side. Bullock is clearly and obviously deeply in love with James – just view her SAG Awards Acceptance speech here to see her beaming with emotion for her hubby- and if this scandal doesn't make you feel bad for Bullock, then you have a blackened heart encased in ice. But before we go bashing James for his alleged indiscretions with a heavily tattooed, hot mess, one must wonder which of the allegations are true, if only the "vast" majority aren't. Which ones are indeed true, then? While James did not admit to any infidelity, he did apologize to his wife and kids for the pain and embarrassment this situation has caused them. He also cryptically said he deserves all the bad things coming his way, which implies cause and effect, thus leading one to deduce that he did something bad that has consequences, although the majority of the allegations are untrue? This one is a bit knotty.
Whatever the case, we hope Bullock's heart is doing okay. How can you not for a woman who calls her hubby "hot" in one acceptance speech and then calls Meryl Streep her "lover" in another?
Do you think James cheated? Do you think Bullock should forgive him? Do you think this anti-Hollywood pair will split or patch things up?
