The Scorpions are thisclose to retirement, but the band is going out with a sting, that's for sure. They are currently on their "Get Your Sting and Blackout Tour," which is their final global tour in support of the final, "We're retiring" album, titled Sting in the Tail. For this final tour before they sale off into the sunset of AARP-dom, the band said it will play classic tracks, new songs and some tunes they have not performed in quite some time.
As if that weren't enough, singer Klaus Meine said that the band may also have former members Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell join the current lineup for a few shows. Meine was quoted as saying, "Nothing's planned yet, it depends on their schedule as well, but they're more than welcome to do something like A Night to Remember and play songs that are connected with this moment in time when they were with the band."
If you are a Scorpions fan, how do you feel about this possibility? Are you bummed the band is retiring? Do you think that will last? After all, KISS does final tours like every other year and always comes back without fail!
