See the Music: Anberlin, "Self-Starter"

Anberlin sat down with ARTIStdirect.com to discuss their high-octane track "Self-Starter" from their new album Vital for our latest edition of the exclusive See the Music Series.
The band revealed that the song came together in the last few weeks, right before pre-production.
"That sudden...spark of inspiration, that creativity just struck," said frontman Stephen Christian, who deemed the song his favorite, when recalling how the song came together.
The song actually came together in 24 hours, and that's how you know you have something special!
Christian's wife even sang on the song when they were sending it back and forth to one another, so it was a family affair.
Thematically, Christian revealed that the song is about the "longing to play music, and sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll."
But not in the way that you think. Rockers definitely approach that fork in the road at least once in their lives... and this song is about which path to take.
