Jessie and the Toy Boys crafted a dirty girl anthem for the new generation of club kids with "Let's Get Naughty."
The song's rallying cry is "All my hoes / Touch your toes." It's easy to do! Jessie sat down with ARTISTdirect.com to explain the meaning behind the song and how she came up with that hook in our exclusive "See the Music" series.
"It literally started with 'All my hoes / Touch your toes,'" she said. The singer was trying to outdo the guys in the studio with the dirtiness of the sentiment. They were throwing out catch phrases one day and that's what she came up with. As a phrase and a lyrical hook, it had legs!
Jessie says she built the song around that lyrical line. "I think it's fun. When you are dancing in a club, you want to feel a little bit naughty, it's a good move to go to. It can be a standard like 'Electric Slide,'" she said. Amen to that, sister!
