South African rockers Seether have achieved another milestone in their 12-year career. "Country Song," their debut single from their latest Wind-Up Records release Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray, has been named Active Rock Song of the Year by Billboard this week.

    But that's not all.

The single also earned the No. 1 Song of the Year honor from Mediabase and is the most played Active Rock Song of 2011. "Country Song" spent an amazing 11 weeks at No. 1 over the course of the year and recently achieved Gold status for sales of over 500,000 units digitally by the RIAA.

The song is also the No. 1 Active Rock Song of the Year in Canada. Seether was named the No. 1 Active Rock Artist and the No. 1 Heritage Rock Artist of 2011 by Billboard as well. It was a banner year for Seether.

"Dale, John and I couldn't be more excited about being named the No. 1 Active and Heritage Rock Artist for 2011 by Billboard. We are also blown away by the reception that ‘Country Song' has received at radio. We have to thank every station, program director and most of all our fans that supported us all year long and throughout our career," stated Seether front man Shaun Morgan.

    Congrats, guys!
