The British man who hacked into Selena Gomez's Facebook page and threatened to publish private messages between her and boyfriend Justin Bieber has been jailed. That's so crappy of him so jail time was necessary.

Gareth Crosskey, 21, wisely posted a video of himself boasting about hacking Gomez's account. Wow, so you admit your guilt in a video? That's like cutting yourself and leaving your blood and DNA at a crime scene, asking to get caught.

Crosskey admitting to two offenses against the Computer Misuse Act during a court appearance in London earlier this month and will be in jail for a year, per The Sun.

Judge John Price told him, "You are clever with a computer and you hacked into the private part of somebody’s Facebook account. Selena Gomez had a Facebook account on which she has six million friends. They have permission to get into part of the account and you hacked into a private part by getting the email password. People deserve privacy and should not have their private correspondence made public."

Do you think his sentence was harsh enough or too harsh?
