Selena Gomez has been busy with her music career so far this year, releasing a number of singles and hinting at a still unannounced new album, but that doesn't mean the Spring Breakers star is putting her acting career on the back burned. Today it has been announced that she will be joining Elle Fanning and Timothée Chalamet in Woody Allen's upcoming film.
The film will be released by Amazon Studios, but little else is known about the project, which has been the case for most of the filmmaker's movies. Allen previously worked with Amazon on 2016's Cafe Society, and his next movie, Wonder Wheel, starring James Belushi, Juno Temple, Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet, will also be released by the electronic commerce giant. It will make its world premiere as the closing-night film of the New York Film Festival in October.
Gomez has been doing it all of recent. Her track "Bad Liar" reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. She recently finished recording the voice of Mavis for the upcoming Hotel Transylvania 3, which is due out in 2018. And, she executive produced the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
We just hope that Gomez manages to find a way to release a new album despite all this business. After all, "Bad Liar" remains one of the strongest tracks of the summer and year so far.
