Shakira + Sony = Together Again?
The New York Post reports Shakira and Live Nation are close to a multi-million dollar deal with Sony to release her next three albums. Shakira originally signed a 360 deal with Live Nation, which means the concert giant has a hand in all of her revenue streams, from touring to merch to albums, a few years ago.
But since the concert giant has "never developed the ability to record and distribute albums" aka it never became a record label, it will team up with Sony to release the music.
Shakira was signed to Epic for years so the relationship and history is there.
