Singer Sheryl Crow believes the benign brain tumor she was diagnosed with in June is the result of cell phone usage.

Crow sought medical advice when she began to forget the lyrics to her songs and also found herself struggling with simple tasks. She feared that she was dealing with the early stages of Alzheimer's disease due to her symptoms.

Crow underwent an MRI and was then diagnosed with a meningioma, which she told her fans about.

When interviewing with Katie Couric, Crow said, "I say it's in my cell phone area, and there are no doctors that will confirm that, but I did have a conversation with Sanjay Gupta about it." Gupta is a neurosurgeon, BTW!

"I do have a theory that it's possible that it's related to that, because in the early, early days when I was promoting my first record, I did hours and hours of phoners on those old, archaic cell phones."

Do you think Crow's theory holds water?
