    He may be known as the King of Mean for his criticisms of contestants on reality talent competition shows, but music mogul Simon Cowell is also generous. Cowell, who will launch the US version of The X Factor this September, donated $80,000 of his money to a fund for those affected by the UK riots which have been plaguing the region for the past week.

    In case you are not keeping up with the politics, civil unrest began to unfold in London last weekend and quickly spread across the country as thugs attacked city centers, buildings and businesses. They smashed windows, looted shops and set buildings on fire.
